Our unforgettable estate experiences are designed to evoke a unique sense of place and stimulate all five of your senses.

WINE DRIVE: The Wine Drive Safari is a unique three-hour trip on our safari-type vehicle, through the 120-hectare Estate on the beautiful slopes of the Helderberg mountain.

The wine tasting will be accompanied by a platter and the breathtaking views. The experience will culminate with a tasting of our iconic blend The Jem.

Bookings are required a week in advance.

WINE WALK: We have designed three different routes at different levels of intensity, which explore both Vineyards and natural Fynbos, ensuring the best possible experience depending on your own capabilities.

The selection of three wines will be accompanied by a light lunch. On your return to the winery, your experience will culminate in our Wine and Chocolate Tasting.

    My wife and another couple took the Waterford 3-hour Wine Drive and we had the best of times... Making reservations via the tasting room (Stephne Botha) was easy and confirmed. On the day of the Wine Tour, we were met by a courteous group at the entrance and led to some chairs for champagne and to meet our Wine Guide. Tane Wahl, a student at the University at Stellenbosch was incredible... Knowledgeable about the wines at Waterford as well as the area. We took a tour of the wine cellar and then onto the Game vehicle for drive thru the vineyards to a picnic area for our wine tasting. The wines were excellent as expected (we were there in 2006) and the cheese/plate was delicious (Note: Do not eat before going on this tour). All in all, our other family members that had not been to SA or Waterford were impressed with the tour and Tane's knowledge. He is one very courteous and polite gentleman and represents the winery at the highest level.
