VUUR Goose Island is the second restaurant in the VUUR Group and set on a small island in a dam on the wonderful Remhoogte Wine Estate. A continuation for love of fire cooking will be now shared with guests joining in on a Shared Chef’s Table Experience. Our 7 course, wine paired menu is served at out Big V Table and hosted by our team that will regale you with stories, serve you tasty food that is paired with Remhoogte Wines.

All dishes are prepared in front of our guests to create a wonderful interactive experience. All diners will gather at the Remhoogte Wine Estate Tasting Room at 13:00 where you will be welcomed by a glass of wine. You host will collect you and accompany you to VUUR Goose Island, where your culinary journey will start.

There is no menu at VUUR Goose Island and we change the menu based on quality meats and food and seasonal vegetables. We request allergies and special dietary requirements and we take this into consideration to create a specific menu for the day.

    An amazing experience with delicious food. It’s been 5+ hours of culinary and social entertainment for us. This a restaurant with soul and spirit which you can’t replicate even if you had all the resources.

    An all-around excellent experience! We loved the exclusivity, the attentive service, the thoughtful little details (never an empty glass), and the beautifully designed space. The highlight, of course, was the open-fire cooking by Chef Shaun and his talented team – absolutely outstanding! Everything was spot-on, though we’d have loved to see a few more fire-roasted veggies on the menu. The fish was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious, and the bread course (along with everything else) was just wow! A truly memorable dining experience.

    What a brilliant concept and and amazing experience! McKennah blew us away with her knowledge of the wines and treated us to some delicious cocktails. Jonno and Malaika went out of their way to present each dish and tolerated all our questions. Staff were friendly and attentive and made us feel like we were royalty. Overall a superb dining experience. Would definitely recommend! Well done Shaun and the VUUR team.
