    Took mum to Vista bar for high tea yesterday to celebrate an early 70th birthday. From the moment we arrived , we were greeted with a warm welcome and a tasty welcome drink . The High tea was delicious and of high quality . The ambience was perfect not forgetting the stunning views of table mountain in the background. We were entertained by the beautiful soothing sounds of the pianist, he was absolutely brilliant and even payed happy birthday tune for mum . Ann attended to us and she was brilliant as well . Explaining in great detail the menus to us . If anyone is visiting Cape Town definitely add this experience to your to do list as you will not be disappointed. 5 star treatment and 5 star service . Highly recommended.

    It was a lovely afternoon. The hostess Amelia made us feel very welcome and attended to us, as if we were her personal guests. When she realised some of us is Afrikaans speaking, she spoke to us in Afrikaans!! That was super special. She was so kind to take many pictures for us. The lady that served the tea was very good. She explained to us everything and even mixed a special brand, on request for my friend. We did enjoy the piano music very much...it adds a good vibe to the atmosphere. We were celebrating a 70th birthday, and had a very enjoyable time. For a special occasion, or maybe make your own special day, go for a high tea at The One Only Hotel!!

    The Vista Lounge/Bar is beautiful, the view is awesome and the service is exemplary but the tea is a tad overpriced. In common with most such offerings one feels that there should be more savouries and fewer sweet things.

    If you’re looking for a cost-effective yet luxurious high tea experience, The One & Only Hotel Vista Bar is the place to be. I recently celebrated my birthday here with a friend, and it was truly a memorable experience. Priced at just R550 per person, the afternoon tea (available from 2 PM to 5 PM) includes a wide variety of hot beverages to choose from, paired with an array of delightful desserts and pastries. The venue itself is stunning, with an ambiance that’s both elegant and welcoming. The staff added to this warm atmosphere, particularly our waiter, Zoe, who was exceptionally attentive and accommodating. She went out of her way to make our celebration feel special, even offering complimentary drinks to start. Zoe guided us through each part of the experience, so we knew exactly what to expect, adding a personal touch that made the afternoon extra memorable. To top it off, there was live piano music, and when it was time for my birthday treat, Zoe arranged for the pianist to play a special birthday tune, which I found incredibly thoughtful. Overall, the experience was a perfect ten, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy a high tea in Cape Town without breaking the bank!
