Our story began in 1977 when four brothers opened the first Turn ‘n Tender in Johannesburg.

Since then we’ve become known for our love of great steak, excellent taste in wines and our warm and welcoming atmosphere where customers become friends.

We are the place for all those special celebrations and everyday occasions, because here is where you create a lifetime of memories over a meal.

The very heart of Turn ‘n Tender are the memories you make with us and the ones you leave us with. They all add up to one great story: the stuff that legends are made of.

    We all found that the ribs were too saucy. It seemed like they were grilled, cut up and then basted agin just before serving to us. The sauce was more dominant than the flavour of the ribs. To get 5 stars for ambience I would remove the tvs. I realise the tvs help attract customers who don’t want to miss sport (I am one of those), however they do take away from the ambience

    Beautiful evening out at Turn n Tender Bassonia. Everything was just perfect. The food was well prepared & presented. Special mention to Themba, our waiter, what a lovely gentleman he is. He has excellent communication skills, he paid attention to our orders and he made our evening special. We will surely be back again soon and hope to get the same exceptional service from Themba and his team. Thank you once again. See you soon.
