    Great ambience and the food was pleasant. However, some of our party were asked if they’d like chips with their burgers, to which they replied ‘yes’. Little did we know that those 1.5–2 spuds would cost us R50 p/portion! I don’t mind paying for sides, but that seemed extortionate for the humble potat. There were other minor service issues, but nothing drastic enough to mention. In summary: Beware of the hidden costs!

    As a local tourist guide I love being able to recommend a stop at Truth. Whether it's for a coffee or meal, my guests are never disappointed.

    We visit Truth at least once a week - the staff are amazing and so helpful. We love the retro look plus the coffee is simply the best in town. Great food selection as well as pastries and croissants. We suggest you also work across the road to Rapt to try some amazingly different coffee, ice cream and chocolate treats
