On Saturday evenings, Momiji offers a sushi-inspired Omakase set menu that highlights the best of modern Japanese cuisine. This curated dining experience is paired with our extensive selection of wines, spirits, sake, and cocktails.

Reservations:
Reservations are essential and can be made via Dineplan or by emailing info@tjingtjing.co.za.

Dietary Accommodations:
Pescatarian options are available as an alternative to the standard set menu upon reservation.
Unfortunately, vegan and gluten-free options are not available.

Menu Changes:
No changes can be made on the day of service.

Age Restriction:
Children under 12 are not permitted.

The attached menu is a sample and may change without notice.

Menu Options:
Momiji does not offer an á la carte menu; however, á la carte options are available at Torii, the Rooftop Bar, and the Lounge.

The price of the Momiji Omakase set menu will be R725 per person starting 1 September 2024.

    The food was excellent - just what you want in a restaurant. Delicious, fresh, creative, and something you wouldn't make at home. We especially liked the lime nigiri, and more generally the wonderful play of textures in every dish. The wine list was good, but options for wine by the glass were very limited, and the pours were disappointingly small for the price (i.e. R130 for apx 175ml, when the bottle price is R450, and in the shop is R240). Service was generally very good if occasionally a bit uneven (first course delivered before drinks).

    Great experience though I feel that the food was not filling enough. The location of the restaurant is terrible, loads of noise from the road side and very dodgy people hanging around the outside of the area. Our waiters were okay but I do feel they need a bit of training. If you are paying this much for dinner you expect the waiters to be more professional. The waiting periods in between dishes were also too long. The restaurant it self needs more ambience, very clinical and cold atmosphere.

    Would definitely recommend the Omakase set menu at Momiji - absolutely delicious, and great value (10 courses for R599!). Lovely setting, excellent service and really amazing food.

    This is our third visit to TjingTjing Momiji, and as before it was a memorable evening. Every little morsel was tasty, and it is difficult to decide what was the best. I can highly recommend the restaurant.
