The Kraal Restaurant at Joostenberg Wine Estate, is a laid back, farm restaurant, serving slow, seasonal three course lunches and organic estate wines. Tables are set between fruit and olive trees in the shaded, stone walled courtyard in summer, and inside the cosy, rustic wagenhuis in winter. Allow some time to enjoy a relaxed, informative tasting of our wines and to stroll through the werf garden and admire the authentic, original Cape Dutch architecture.

    We had a wonderful 3 course lunch with wine pairing. There are restaurants in the area where the food is more refined and exquisite, but the setting is very charming and the service is excellent. Good value for money.

Join the Joostenberg Wine Estate team for a unique guided walk through the farm werf, vineyards, winery and wine tasting on Friday 10 January at 9h30. Enjoy a coffee and pastry on arrival. Hear about our farming and wine making ethos and methods. Taste the fruits of our labour. R170 pp. Booking is essential. Date: Friday 10 January 2025, from 9.30 - 11.30 am Optional: Stay a bit longer for a light lunch of local cheese, garden salad and freshly baked bread OR for our full seasonal, three course Kraal lunch.
