The Kraal Restaurant at Joostenberg Wine Estate, is a laid back, farm restaurant, serving slow, seasonal set menu three course lunches and organic estate wines. Tables are set between fruit and olive trees in the shaded, stone walled courtyard in summer, and inside the cosy, rustic wagenhuis in winter. Allow some time to enjoy a relaxed, informative tasting of our wines and to stroll through the werf garden and admire the authentic, original Cape Dutch architecture.

    A great place to go for a relaxed weekend lunch. Food is creative, tasty and comes family-style in big portions. Their wine pairing is also very reasonable and good. Highly recommended, and we keep coming back.

    Kraal Restaurant was the perfect venue for my 50th birthday celebration! From the initial planning stages with Susan and Veronica to the day itself, the service was impeccable. We thoroughly enjoyed each of the dishes especially the trout was a standout, and all of my guests raved about the food. The team's attention to detail made the entire experience truly special. I highly recommend Kraal Restaurant.
