The Grill Jichana, located at Southern Sun Rosebank, boasts robust flavours of the African East Coast spice route complementing succulent cuts of meat, chicken and fish creating the essence of ‘eating good’ or Jichana in Swahili slang. The perfect venue for lunch, dinner or afternoon drinks soaking up the Rosebank view from the terrace.

Dishes are created with flair, flavoured with fragrant cassia, cardamom, turmeric and other heady spices and prepared using the freshest ingredients.

    Really disappointing, we booked NYE dinner here and none of us enjoyed our mains, the prawns were over cooked with a side rice that tasted like raw masala biryani - steak overdone and ribs chewy =( not sure if the usual chef was on leave as we have enjoyed meals here on previous visits - still unacceptable!

    The food was exceptional, and the service was excellent. My family and I had a wonderful time. We will definitely come back for another dining experience.

    Very disappointed in Christmas Day servings. Starters took long to come out, mains weren’t great. Crème brûlée was not set. We’ve been to the restaurant before and truly believe that a different menu would have worked out better. Give us value for money please.

    The service and food was top notch. The manager on duty is so effective and ensured that we get the Anniversary desert even though he could not find us on the phone to check what we're celebrating
