Our food is civilised without being pretentious … that is to say it has natural taste, smells and textures, and much character… often it looks beautiful too. What is paramount is that it is prepared with respect, savvy and love… then, it is the right food for us to eat …

    Below slow and slow. I called seven times to try to make a reservation but the ihine was never answered. The www was faulty and then there were scores of empty tables. How does all this work. The so called manager was useless

    Delicious, beautifully presented food. The Karoo lamb rack was to die for, just wish there was a bit more. Opted for the starter portion of mushroom ravioli and it was bursting with flavour. Overall a tastebud sensation. Will definitely be back

    Oh thank you for this opportunity to rate our meal and the Foodbarn. My friends birthday and my sister visiting from Auckland, New Zealand, so an important event for her and us. We chose the calamari salad and my friend chose the chicken version. I know I should perhaps ring the changes and try other choices but I do enjoy the experience of your calamari salad. Slightly warmed, full of calamari and little secret embellishments which just make it my favourite. A draft kombucha was a delightful accompaniment. We booked for twelve thirty and only left close to two thirty. Pisistratus (sp?) was our waiter. I do love his attention when we are lucky enough to achieve this. He was galant, attentive and just knows how to tick all of the boxes. My friend given a complimentary sweet for the birthday girl and we all had a taste. Thank you for making our celebration so memorable. My sister will go back to New Zealand singing your praises. Lesley Ann.
