SPYCED is a unique Cape Malay Restaurant situated in the Silo District of the V&A Waterfront. It is a celebration of the discovery of the Spice Route around the cape and homage to the Cape culture and food.

    This was quite simply a wonderful and amazing fun experience. Andreas as the GM should rightly be proud of the venue and atmosphere he works so hard to create. Siphokazi our server was so friendly helpful and hard working, a beautiful human being ❤️

    I cannot recommend Spyced restaurant enough especially if you have any kind of dietary issue!! I am vegan, dairy, garlic, aubergine and mushroom allergic and gluten intolerant. I was expecting a green salad, maybe a rice dish and a fruit salad dessert...you know the drill if you suffer with dietary issues. How wrong was I. They went beyond the norm to ensure that my eating experience was equal to those with no issues. The dietary adjusted dishes were as close as possible to the "normal" ones so I did not feel as though I was eating in an entirely different place. The portions are generous and everything was delicious. Andeas, the Manager, explained all the ingredients for each dish and was keen to ensure we were confident with everything. Ryan, our server, was attentive and even brought us another delicious vegan chocolate ice cream as the first one had melted because we had spent too long dancing and enjoying the amazing jazz band. I can honestly say I have never eaten out so well and also come away feeling like I had the same experience as everyone else both gastronomically, emotionally and financially. The staff are wonderful, so attentive and friendly and genuinely help make the night just fabulous. Oh and don't forget to do the djembe drumming experience before the dinner starts. It's half an hour of great fun. Don't hesitate to book Spyced if you are looking for a fantastic dinner experience, especially if you have dietary issues. You will not be disappointed! Ps. Please be fair to Spyced and contact them in advance so they have time to prepare any dietary adjusted dishes.
