Social Eatery & Bar is a contemporary, casual restaurant located at Knysna Hollow Country Estate serving breakfast, cafe lunches and dinner, 7 days a week from 07h00 - 22h00. We serve authentic food made from fresh, local ingredients with an emphasis on healthy, tasty combinations. Meals can be enjoyed in the restaurant, bar lounge or on one of our outdoor decks and our unique barrel-vaulted private dining room offers a venue for that special occasion. Social Bar serves craft G&Ts, locally-brewed beer on tap and has a unique wine cellar showcasing some of South Africas finer wines.

    Great meal in a lovely hotel, we sat outside overlooking their stunning garden, it was a very relaxing atmosphere and the food and service were excellent too.

    Enjoyed our meal very much. Tables nearer the garden are much nicer, not least because the acoustics are better there.

    Fabulous bootie spring rolls and the fish and chips were out of this world. Great service in a great location.

    Lovely place! The food is tasty, great wine list, friendly service and the ambiance is beautiful. Only point of criticism is that the menu for dinner is rather limited and doesn’t change much over the years.

    Die Wartezeit auf das Essen war viel zu lang. Das Essen war eher durchschnittlich und im letzten Jahr viel besser.

    I loved everything about our dining experience at Social Eatery & Bar. As a vegan, I struggle to find diverse options, but there were multiple options. I ordered the North Thai Laksa Bowl and it was absolutely delicious! My partner also enjoyed his meal thoroughly. The cocktail I ordered was very well prepared too. The service was excellent. We dined on the outside patio with a lovely view of the pretty, peaceful grounds.
