Rykaart’s at Longridge Wine Estate is a family owned restaurant run by Alex and Ella Rykaart. Situated at the foot of the Helderberg mountains, overlooking breathtaking views of the False Bay Peninsula and Table Mountain, Rykaart’s offers a set three course family style dining experience inspired by the beautiful produce from this biodynamic farm.

    The restaurant had a beautiful view, the service was truly outstanding, the food was interesting and very tasty, the courses were original and we enjoyed all four of them. Serving all the dishes at the table (and not to each person individually) created a relaxed atmosphere -- much like a Sunday afternoon meal at home with the family. The four of us were still talking about the food at breakfast the next morning, which is rather unusual. It was an evening to remember!

    A lovely meal although we were rather surprised to find that the set menu was different to the one emailed to us in the morning! Based on the price of the menu we thought the water could have been complimentary.

    The fresh salad, corn dish, potato dish and meat was good, however as my wife is pescatarian she was brought a Kingklip. The fish was not good, and it was doggie bagged for the pets. It seemed as if the personal touch towards the food was missing. We love the setting and have been through the various ups and downs of this restaurant been managed by different chefs/management. Had a lunch here recently which was much better than this dinner.

    We celebrated our 5 year anniversary. Oh were we beyond impressed, what a gem and the food was amazing! Thank you for a wonderful afternoon and we will definitely be back.
