    It was my first time and I had the time of my life , thank you so much to the lady who was taking care of us her name is Zanele. The music, the sound , the toilets were so clean. I can't believe it took me this long to visit your establishment , the beautiful ladies who were dancing next to the DJ were so awesome

    Our experience with Rockets leads us to believe that this is a comedy club. We booked a table for four adults. On arrival it was clear that our table was not reserved and after waiting in reception we were transferred to a dark, isolated area in the back of the venue, which was clearly some area to be set-up for private functions. Bench pillows with cigarette holes, cocktail tables standing here and there with no proper placement, black curtains with sunlight streaming through gaps just enough to blind you. We were completely isolated from the rest of the venue. Our table, a small round cocktail table for the four of us to have sit down dinner - how? There were no finger foods on the set menu, so each person had to have a bit of space to fit their plate. Our first waiter did not have any idea what a drinks menu was. He was replaced by a lady who understood the English language slightly better, till we asked for a lime and soda. This 'foreign drink' was just too alien as so was the Steelworks. The overpriced Valpre water comes without any bells and whistles - no ice, no lemon, nothing! Eventually the manageress came to take our orders and after some time we got move to the main restaurant. Evidence from the previous patrons still left in the form of tomato relish on the side of the table. The food was a highlight, and we thought our luck might have turned. But soon realized the joke was on us as there was no cutlery and we had to hunt a waiter down to get some. The second drinks order never arrived and when we asked the bill, we were grossly over charged with most of our dishes duplicated on the bill. We are now on our third or fourth waiter. We lost count. Bill returned, the clock is ticking and all the extra time we planned not to rush to the concert has now been lost. Second bill arrive and there are still incorrect charges - the joke must be on us. Third bill arrives and eventually this is correct. This comedy of errors was attributed to fact that the restaurant is busy due to another concert at Sun Bet Times Square. So, since 2020, when Rockets opened in Menlyn they have not managed to train their front of house staff to be ready for the influx of guests during one of the regular concert events. If they want to use their dungeon for seating, put the people who did not make the effort to reserve a table in there. So overall a shockingly bad experience and not recommended for a relaxing dinning experience before a show.
