    Good food and great location. Nice wine options and not expensive. Service was slow . . . . frustrating. Missed out on sitting on the roof, due to a delayed private function. They also have a big whisky offering if you enjoy that.

    A Disappointing Experience I would like to express my disappointment with my recent dining experience at Rick's American cafe on the 6th of December 2024. I had made a reservation for [Time] to celebrate a special occasion with my partner. Upon arrival, our reservation could not be found and the hostess was dismissive and unhelpful. She directed us upstairs without any instructions or further assistance, leaving us feeling confused and embarrassed. After being seated, the waiter was curt and inattentive throughout our meal. The food, while presentable, was mediocre at best. Despite the poor service, we left a generous tip and my boyfriend discreetly spoke to the manager. She simply took my email address and stated that she hoped we would return. I was extremely disappointed and embarrassed by my choice of restaurant for a date night. There are many other restaurants in the area that offer much better food and service at a similar price point. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
