Protégé is an exciting casual fine dining eatery under the guidance of previous Eat Out Chef of the Year, La Colombe’s Scot Kirton.

Scot is proud to be part of the process of recognising young talented chefs and giving them the opportunity to put themselves on the map. In keeping with this, the restaurant was aptly named Protégé.

The idea with Protégé is to keep it casual and comfortable, working with local suppliers to keep the menu as fresh and as seasonal as possible.

The restaurant space has been designed around the central show kitchen with al fresco dining planned at both ends of the restaurant.

Protégé is open for lunch from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm and for dinner from 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm.

    Once again we had a marvellous tasting menu experience at Protégé. From making our original booking, the friendly service throughout the evening and of course every bite of food the whole event was superb. We travelled from the UK looking forward to this evening and were not disappointed. We will be sure to return. Thank you to everyone on the Protégé team.

    An overly loud group spoiled the initial ambience, with 3 tables requesting to be moved. We moved to a chefs station and enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere there though it was not the romantic meal we planned. Food was beautifully presented, flavours perfectly balanced and paired well with the suggested wines.

    If I have to be honest, the food is good, but the portions are really .. really too small. You leave still feeling hungry.🤷‍♀️

    Fabulous dinner experience at Chef’s counter table. Friendly and engaging staff. Great servings. Chef’s crew deserves compliments and he has it well under control. Super small remark : Chef could walk the tables and personally greet clients and talk a little small talk. That would top it even more!
