Postcard Cafe is named because of its’ picture perfect views, but also because of the diverse heritage of the owners of Oude Nektar farm, and guests who visit from all corners of the globe. Situated in the peaceful Jonkershoek Valley, home of Stark-Condé Wines, it really is “as pretty as a postcard”.


A variety of savoury and sweet dishes are served - breakfast, lunch, cakes, and desserts. The menu is diverse and dishes draw inspiration from a number of different cuisines.

    Lamb, fish dishes are worth going back for the were delicious — staff we’re happy to change polenta for veggies.

    We were a table of 4, 2 of us had the slow cooked Calvinia lamb dish and one had the Gnocchi, and the other a double portion of the roasted beetroot salad. All the food was delicious, fresh and well presented. The service was very good without being intrusive. We had a bottle of the 2020 Syrah Library Collection which was very good and complimented the lamb. We sat outside under the trees overlooking the dam, a beautiful tranquil setting surrounded by the impressive mountains.
