Postcard Cafe is named because of its’ picture perfect views, but also because of the diverse heritage of the owners of Oude Nektar farm, and guests who visit from all corners of the globe. Situated in the peaceful Jonkershoek Valley, home of Stark-Condé Wines, it really is “as pretty as a postcard”.


A variety of savoury and sweet dishes are served - breakfast, lunch, cakes, and desserts. The menu is diverse and dishes draw inspiration from a number of different cuisines.

    Great lunch with friends although a touch windy on the lower patio. Fantastic service from Muntu who is a true asset to Postcard Cafe and really enhanced our enjoyment. We will return again as we do every year. Definitely one of our favourites. Thank you

    We enjoyed an array of starters. Most notable was the duck liver pate. Better than many of the french ones I’ve tasted . It was smooth and delicate . The beetroot starter was equally delicious with it’s subtle flavours that was complimented by the addition of labneh. We tried the burger with teriyaki sauce, the Caesar salad and bobotie. Each dish was well presented and extremely tasty and fresh . All round, a culinary delight enjoyed in stunning surroundings with the mountains as a backdrop and weeping willows next to the lake . Highly recommended.
