Postcard Cafe is named because of its’ picture perfect views, but also because of the diverse heritage of the owners of Oude Nektar farm, and guests who visit from all corners of the globe. Situated in the peaceful Jonkershoek Valley, home of Stark-Condé Wines, it really is “as pretty as a postcard”.


A variety of savoury and sweet dishes are served - breakfast, lunch, cakes, and desserts. The menu is diverse and dishes draw inspiration from a number of different cuisines.

    Wow! The most beautiful setting, lovely food, attentive service made for a perfect day. The chef accommodated my vegetables-only request (thank you) and the sourdough bread is top-notch (so much so that we bought a loaf to take home).

    I missed a small salad or a couple of veg to go with the mound of delicious lamb and polenta.

    If you are in or around Stellenbosch, make the time to take breakfast at the postcard cafe. The view is incredible, the staff are fantastic, friendly and efficient and the food is beautiful. Breakfast till 11!

    An absolute stunning setting , staff very friendly and attentive and food top notch. Loved the wine tasting setting too there is nothing to fault just wonderful. It reminds us why we love South Africa .
