    Incredible food ready provided by staff that couldn’t do more to help. Then a beautiful location by the river to enjoy the generous options and to top it all off the rose was perfect.

    “We had ordered the vegetarian lunch. Everything was ready with water and a chilled bottle of rosé. A basket, blanket, cushions. It was delightful! Plenty of food with many different flavors. The picnic spot was beautiful. For those who prefer not to sit on a blanket anymore, there were plenty of seats in the shade with a stunning view. We had a wonderful afternoon and would love to come back again.”

    Although we had a nice warm sunny day the picknick area is full of shadow and it can be very windy. We would have preferrres to sit just on the grass near the restaurant but assumed this was not the intention and followed the guidelines of the stadf to walk there. On windy days they should have given us the option to sit on the grass near the water. The food was very good however would advise to amend to three slices of the bread per person. As we could not finish now the amazing spreads.

    Variety of Food was good; taste was ‘ok’ ; but more specialties would be good; missed out a bottle opener had to go back from pick Nick place at river to get one; river plave was awesome ! ; ice cube for in glass; bit more bread;

    The food and views were divine. The mood was dampened by the way we were served the baskets and the breakdown. May I suggest you give people wheel barrows to get their belongings, your baskets, blankets, pillows, ice buckets filled with water and wine to the picnic spot - and to allow for less trips up and down for an easier walk.

    We really enjoyed picnic under the old oaks. Really good modern food and wine. One thing we missed was a little paper from the chief with the menu and the proposed eating order

    We had a picnic and the food was ok but way too much for a party of two. The setting at the river we didn’t“t like as it was utterly windy and shady, we“d have preferred to stay close to the Main house.
