The Piatto Restaurant and Grill story began in 2001 when the founder, Michael Yiallouris opened the first Piatto in Eastgate Shopping Centre. Today Piatto has grown to 15 stores across South Africa and we are planning to open many more.

    Our party of three all had some problem with their meal.possibly partially due to our waiters complete lack of interest, and no manager to be seen???? Not a good experience!!!

    I have visited this restaurant several times and was extremely disappointed yesterday. Service was average. we ordered a Focaccia board which we waited a long time for. It was delicious though. I ordered Sirloin steak which was under cooked and the chips and onion rings were cold. The Fillet steak was apparently delicious but there were no chips served with it. The chicken schnitzel was very nice apparently and there was plenty of it. the Pizza was not up to your usual standard and we didn't order dessert or coffee. So it was a disappointing experience and we were entertaining guest.

    Had squid head starters - best we have had, NO OIL and CRISPY. main consisted of pasta dishes, prawn special and surf and turf. Steak had a bit of sinew.......but otherwise all dishes were enjoyed by all. Finished off with some Don Pedros - all good value for money and not overly noisy. Maybe consider a live musician on weekends ?? or music ???? yes TV was on - but we were there to eat - not watch TV :)
