PAUL is a family-owned artisanal patisserie and restaurant with a proud French heritage dating back to 1889. We are all about people, community and great food, delivered to you with unapologetic French flair. Our gourmet meals and freshly baked breads, pastries and confectionary, are made daily from scratch with carefully selected quality ingredients.     i went with friends for dinner on Friday 7th March. i ordered the fillet beef medallion, Price R230.00. I must say that it was not beef fillet as per the menu as I had a butchery and suppose to know the cuts of meat. It was some other beef, tough & dry that after having 2 or 3 pieces I choked on it and had to excuse myself from the table to take care of it. I spoke to the manager & he argued that it was fillet & walked off. Well I pushed the steak aside and would not continue eating it. i had to pay for a meal I never ate, i have been there a few times for breakfast which i always enjoyed. but the dinner the worst I ever had. I thought that the manager would compensate my dissatisfaction with a complimentary desert or discount, like other Restaurants would do, but nothing, I had to pay the full bill plus an obvious 10% tip for the waitress who was very kind. Well Paul restaurant will not see me for another dinner.

    Simple yet sophisticated ambience. Great service as I was greeted and welcomed within minutes. The food was bought out in imaculate timing. And more than one waiter checked to see that I was enjoying myself! The food was 10/10 and my steak was cooked to perfection. If you’re looking for a relaxed spot in the V&A , with freshly prepared pasta and pastries made at the establishment then this is the great spot.
