Paserene is a small, family operated winery owned by Martin Smith and Ndabe Mareda, the sole purpose of which is to produce high-end, luxury wines. Great care was given to ensure that the wines produced, and artwork on the labels, are truly authentic to its “sense of place and people” and will guarantee a lasting legacy.

The name Paserene comes from the Latin word Passeriformes, the order of "traveling and free" birds containing swifts and swallows. Paserene is situated in the quaint town of Franschhoek and is home to their award-winning wine range. A professional and contemporary tasting lounge is situated on the property.

    I waited 30min for a table I had booked for - it was given to the wine tasting tram guest. I then left for a moment after lunch only to have my table given away. On a hot summers day they didn’t have ice, wine over priced and overall service poor.

    Dear Ms Nentor We are sorry to hear about your poor experience at Paserene. We apologies if there was a misunderstanding with the booking time, as we had your booking for a different time than arrival. With our busy season in full swing, we do have our reserve signs on the tables, and try to keep a table that was booked, as long as possible. But due to previous experiences of bookings just not arriving, we can only keep it for a while, before we have to make the decision to use it for other customers who are waiting for tables. We do hope you understand We also like to apologise for your table been given away after you have paid and got up. Our wine advisor was under the impression that you were finish at the table, and they used it for another group that arrived. We will address these matters with our staff, to ensure this will not happen with any of our future customers. At Paserene we strive for 5 star service and customer satisfaction.     Hi thanks for acknowledgment. With regards to table being given away: 1. I had a take away packed which was not yet brought to my table. 2. I ordered a bottle and assumed this would sent to my table - I was notified that collection is at front, which is okay. Do how would I have left the premises without these two items? Thanks,
