Pappas is an award winning, family owned restaurant located on the Nelson Mandela Square in Sandton. We believe in fresh, quality produce and innovative, well-presented dishes. While we still offer a wide-variety of traditional Greek dishes, our Mediterranean menu has evolved with the history of the restaurant spanning over three decades.

Pappas boasts a 100 seater private dining room for events overlooking the iconic Nelson Mandela statue. The restaurant is also available to be hired out for private and corporate functions with a capacity of up to 215pax. Burning of whiskey, breaking of plates: Traditional Greek entertainment is available upon request.

    The quality of the food and service from Nick was excellent. We had the Fish Combo, Stuffed Calamari and Lamb Kleftiko, all outstanding.

    One of my favourite restaurants in Johannesburg. Definitely worth a visit and more. I've never been disappointed.

    I hosted my daughter's birthday lunch at Pappas. This is our family favorite restaurant. It was relaxing, the ambience wa s cheerful, the foodvwas deliciiys as we had prawns. n the staff went out of their way to make this a memorable afternoon . Thank you Charles n Tumi. Will see you all soon again.

    Phenomenal Greek resturant. I find Greek resturants food often lacks flavour but this is not the case at papas

    I spoke to Charles will in the process of planning a baby shower for my friend. Told Charles that I had a party of 15 and unfortunately 6 of my people cancelled on me on the spot. With just a total of nine people that came, the team rearranged the whole setup for me in a matter of seconds, to accommodate the amount of people that came. I am naturally afraid of hearing the sound of popping balloons and unfortunately for me, I had to blow up balloons to give our table a baby shower feel ( didn’t really have to decorate much as the setup was fully prepared for guests that want space) Additionally, the restaurant was extremely busy however, the waiters really tried their best to help me decorate my table. They would take turns helping me while juggling their our respective tables at the time. I appreciate the service and highly recommend. Thanks to Charles and his Team. Patricia.
