Our foundations were built slowly; forged by skill, fortitude, passion and dedication. It’s about slowing things down, celebrating ethics, preserving standards and rediscovering quality.

There was a time when a visit to your local grocery store was more of a social event than a chore. Where the butcher knew your preferences and the baker greeted you by name. A place where product knowledge, a hearty smile and sound advice was given freely. Old Town’s mission is to restore these qualities and rekindle those experiences.

After all, our body is our sanctuary, our temple and the only one we have.

    Not a pleasant experience. Had to sit in the bottom bar area in the corner with very poor lighting. Couldn't read the menu without using the light on my mobile phone.

    We go to Old Town each year when we visit South Africa, and always enjoy it. This time the service was slow and the waiter not particularly engaged. We waited 40 minutes for our meal which was unusual based on our experience at OT. The pasta was overcooked. My husband’s pizza was decent. We are supposed to return there tomorrow but will cancel our reservation.

    Pity the poor people of Constantia if this is their idea of an Italian restaurant! But maybe they know it to be just a tourist trap! It looks good and as the only waiter actually serving all the customers Wonke was working his socks off with a smile … But the “homemade” butternut pasta was at least a day old maybe even microwaved - with that telling “ tough as old boots” - like I couldn’t get a knife through the pie like edges - and not warm in the middle. Inedible! as were the greasy heavily battered, deep fried but wafer thin, zucchini. I don’t think I’ve been served such an awful meal in such a long time and certainly never in South Africa! Take a leaf out of Wonke’s impeccable style - Old Town Chain - and pull your socks up!!!
