Neethlingshof Estate lies just outside the beautiful town of Stellenbosch in the heart of the Cape Winelands. An iconic avenue of imposing stone pines marks the entrance to the farm, leading to the traditional “werf” of the estate.

    We really enjoyed our experience with good wine and tasty pairing. Zandile really made us feel extra-welcome with her warm and friendly personality. The kids also looooooved their pairing. Will definitely visit again.

    It was a surprise to learn that ownership changed. The service was ok as well the wine presentation but the shock came to the end when I was charged for 12 people, as 2 didn't have wine I asked to give an extra wine for the price of the 12, but your man blatantly charged me 105.00 plus the extra bottle, also the sparkling wine that was offered to us had a funny odor so nobody drunk it. All in all very disappointed and not coming back either.

    Dear Jiro, Thank you for your review. I am investigating the reservation with the relevant staff. It seems that the instruction to ring up for 12 guests might have been misunderstood. Please accept my apologies. As a proactive effort, I would suggest that when there is a deviation from the group's reservations plans, to discuss this with the manager on duty to ensure that your request is correctly fulfilled, before your departure. Regarding the Brut Rosé your comment has been forwarded to the wine maker. We do hope to see you again soon. Best,

    Thank you for your reply, unfortunately the experience wasn't what it used to be, I and the guests enjoyed the wine presentation it was done very well, what I didn't and the guests too was the faul smell of the brut, to see the wine presenter elaborating of the brut rose and not noticing the people reactions, make me think that he knew and was happy to get rid of that bottle and let it pass as a gift. The other is and this is a serious matter yes I have booked for 12 people at the last minutes 2 decided not to have the wine I asked if I pay for the full 12 can we have an extra wine your man said yes, but when I went to pay he charged me for 12 plus the extra wine originally for 12 but then let him change to 10. That isn't nice as one of my guests even ordered 6 bottles of wine. So for now I am still pondering if I made a good choice by bringing my guests to Nithlingshof.
