Take a seat at our table and pick on some meze dishes that were made to be shared or tuck into some of our signature Kleftiko lamb, then finish it all off with our unforgettable baklava. Our recipes have been handed down through the family for generations, so you always get genuine Greek flavours and experiences. We even import many of our key ingredients from Greece! Our authentic Greek culinary approach has won us the title of Best Greek Restaurant in the Best of Joburg, Best of Pretoria and Best of Ekurhuleni Reader’s Choice Awards from 2013 to 2019.

    I have a major issue with the noise level, kids screaming and shouting. Secondly two gentlemen were smoking rigt next to me and my family. (Vaping) Totally a no go for me. Nobody from management adressed the issue. I am always amazed to see the staff allow two guys to contravene the rules and chase away 5 times more people. Short sighted in my mind.

    Unfortunately, the experience wasn't as great as expected. The main reason we went there (food) was the most disappointing part of the experience. The meats were all burnt except the medium rare steak I ordered. The chips were partly Burt and raw inside. The only food that was well prepared and given compliments was the seafood and chicken livers. The drinks were also good except the not so tasty piña colada. The staff tried so hard to serve us but they looked disheartened and exhausted just trying to make it through the day. For the prices charged and money spent on the restaurant, mythos was an unfortunate dissappointment.

    The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The greek cuisine was absolutely amazing...authentic, fresh and flavourful. Staff was friendly, so if you want a greek experience and a little slice of greece, this place is highly recommended.

    The food was great, we built our own platters with the starters and it was amazing, a bit pricey but amazing.

    Mythos Cradlestone was an utter Sh!tshow on Mother's Day. I have to add that they were not busy at all. Only about 50% of tables occupied. This should have been a warning. Nobody at the entrance to greet, welcome or tell you to bugger off. We had to navigate the tables ourselves and find the roughly scribbled note with my name on it. Another warning. Waitress arrived 10 minutes later to take our orders. No menu's yet.....We ordered cuppachino's, sparkling water and Hunters Dry. Mismatched glasses arrived fresh out of the cold water wash, still dripping water. Not Dried and polished. Dripping wet. Drinks arrived an hour later. Coffee ice cold. Still no food order. Then the waiter disappeared till we strarted moaning about an hour later. Basically all the occupied tables was upset at that stage. Weirdly, the kitchen was abuzz with activity and in a total mess. All visible to the public. Then the food started arriving......Chicken livers totally raw!! Not pink.....RAW. Meze platter without dips and sans a few items displayed on the menu. No sideplates or utensils. We had to go fetch this ourselves. The steak strips was a dry as rope and it resembled rope as well. Paste was ice cold. Not warmed up.....out of the freezer cold. My kingklip was 2mm thick and crispy as a Simba chip. Bright, the manager couldn't provide answers as he resembled a hare in headlights. Eyes as big as plates. In a total panic. Every inquiry was met with giggles from staff. It's as if they wanted to upset the patrons. Needless to say....Mythos will NEVER see us ever again. We called the owners and they did not even bother to return our calls. So, my one-star review is actually too much, but there is no option for -1000.
