Located in the heart of Gauteng’s busiest tourism route, Molitva is perfectly positioned in The Cradle of Humankind. A mere 3km’s from the Rhino and Lion Nature Reserve, this country gem is a quick turn off Kromdraai Road. Specialising in fresh, organic, homegrown fruits and vegetables, Molitva’s mouthwatering food menu will charm any tastebuds. The menu is largely centered around a range of mezze and tapas styled foods from various Mediterranean cuisines, but also offers those that prefer something a little more substantial; homemade pasta’s, an array of salads, a selection of grills and a variety of appetizing burgers.

Head chef and part owner, Milan Cerimaj describes Molitva’s cuisine as “Orthodox Mediterranean” with subtle twists and adaptations.

Surrounded by the green, lush countryside and mountainous views, this restaurant and pub is the perfect setting for a day out with the family, a romantic date or a time to kick back and relax with friends.

Everything was terrible, from food not having taste, a mere greek salad did not come with feta cheese or olives, it was a add on. Our waiter didn’t know the menu well and the prices are different from when the bill comes. I hated it

Overpriced food and drinks, outdated furnishings and staff seem scattered. Strange basics, Portuguese roll that you pay for is chopped pieces of bread you don’t get a whole roll. Olive Oil and Balsamic came in little dishes and it wasn’t olive oil more like canola oil and the balsamic was like water. The dishes were all meh, nothing was yum or lovely. It all felt thrown together. Menu was Greek, Eastern Europe, some Italian and SA. Overall strange and disappointing. Won’t be back.

The place was a bit chaotic and noisy. A PUB down the road, Cool Runnings, was better organised and cleaner.
