Lovely new restaurant in Stellenbosch. It has a fresh and calm ambience, delicious cocktails and a small but well thought out and delicious menu. The portions are generous, beautifully presented and well explained by a knowledgable waiter. Will definately go back for more cocktails, also the mushroom parfait and chocolate mousse!

Another phenomenal dining experience at Mill Street Bistro. The mushroom parfait was utter perfection. Pork belly a stand-out once again, amazingly tender and a delightful balance of flavours. The seasonal boozy stone-fruit sundae was a decadent celebration of summer, the apricot sorbet lip-smackingly delicious. Staff attentive, great wine suggestions. Highly recommend, a great night had by all.

A bright star on the culinary map of Stellenbosch. Innovative dishes with wonderful combinations of tastes and looks. A place where the chef himself is present, where the manager and his staff go out of their way to connect to the guests. All in all a happy place with a relaxed atmosphere and very tasty food.

2nd visit. Very good service , lovely ambience. Food wise..still trying to find our way around the menu. We were a party of 3- The karoo lamb & potato- think the dish needs some kind of relief as there was also bacon in potato making the overall dish a bit salty + the green crust on top of hasselback was unnecessary. The pork belly dish was delicious & ticked all the boxes. Beautifully cooked, nice size mains portion, perfectly balanced with sauerkraut and that ketchup..yum The aubergine schnitzel was unfortunately a miss..more a starter size than a main and was so obviously tiny beside the other two mains, and while pretty to look at, it was lacking in any depth of flavour. The sides were good especially the turbo mash. We saved the best for last - the tarte tatin was unbelievable and generous!
