The Cape Winelands is the soon-to-be home of Michelin star Chef Phil Carmichael’s new bistronomy-style restaurant.     Delicious food in a buzzy setting. Our waiter Aubrey was well informed very friendly and keen to ensure we enjoyed ourselves. We were offered small tasters of wine to help us make a decision. Very helpful. The pork belly was very good and I enjoyed the chicken although I felt it needed more intense flavour. The chocolate mousse with olive oil and salt was wonderful.

    We sat at a table by the deck in this light and airy restaurant and enjoyed the freshness of the food, particularly the tomato gazpacho. The light touch of the addition of fermented vegetables introduced different flavour combinations and every dish we had was beautifully presented. We will be back!

    Really delicious food each dish carefully crafted - the mushroom parfait was exceptional! Wonderful classic French cooking with interesting flavors and textures. Highly reccomend, great chef skills!

    Great service and ambiance - food lacked the wow factor and did not meet expected standards, even more so considering all the great restaurant choices in stellenbosch (where we live) - food portions where tasty but small - wine prices excessively high Not great value for money Were really excited to try Mill St Bistro, had a great time with friends but left disappointed
