    The food and ambiece are excellent. I personally find the music too loud for fine dining. We had ordered the 9-course menue. The serving went far too quickly for me, after about 50 minutes we were already through. However, I will certainly come back and ask for a little more time between courses.

    I have had the pleasure of dining in this well established restaurant venue when it was previously called the Bailey and now renamed The Merchant. New great concept menu and as always the very good service continues. Billy Catchpole Cork Ireland.

    We had an absolute great experience at Merchant. The service was exceptional and we were even offered a visit to the kitchen to meet the chef. We ordered the Merchant Feast - everything was incredibly tasty and well presented, and my favourite was the lamb belly. There are a few seating areas which makes it feel intimate and not crowded. Make a booking and go!
