Melfort used to be my family's farm in the Mazowe Valley, Zimbabwe.
They grew many fruits, vegetables and kept livestock. The farm was family-run, very busy and always had a lot of mouths to feed.
My grandfather hired staff to cook meals for the family.
Every day, the family would gather around the dining room table and enjoy the best of what the farm had to offer.
The only meals cooked were those that had seasonal crops and meat from the farm.
Nothing else was used. The food eaten was always good for their health, with nothing highly processed entering their kitchens - just real, good, delicious, food.
