Medeo restaurant at the Palazzo offers a distinctly Mediterranean inspired menu prepared with excellent South African produce and paired with some of the country’s top wines. The Executive Chef and his team present a selection of classic dishes and have created delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus in one of Fourways’ best restaurants.

The restaurant’s large terrace and deck area overlooks the beautiful Palazzo koi pond as well as the citrus trees and roses of the hotel’s Tuscan gardens. Whether you choose to dine inside or enjoy the warm South African climate alfresco, Medeo is one of the most beautiful restaurant settings in Johannesburg.

The menu at Medeo can be paired with an excellent wine list that includes a selection of rare Auction Wines.

    I appreciate this opportunity to share our view. As far as the Christmas Lunch is concerned the hot meal was absolutely disappointing and substandard .No Lamb. What were you thinking. The beef was not rare it was raw. When we asked for some slices of beef to be cooked we waited a half an hour and got rubber meat back. No gravy. No roast potatoes. The vegetable dishes were substandard. Like mass produced with no love or fennese. Cheap. We did ask the manager for assistance and he was not interested. Respectfully you have to question whether your chef even knows what a South African Christmas meal contains and whether he is of standard for what is expected for the standard of your hotel. As far as the rest of the staff they were friendly and helpful where they were able too. The cheese and dessert tables were acceptable and much enjoyed. Unfortunately the warm food was so disappointing it put a damper on our whole visit and Christmas stay.

    Thoroughly enjoyed the High Tea served at Medeo celebrating my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary. Will definitely be back and was lucky to get a discount so it is great value for money.

    I would like to praise and compliment the staff on the excellent service they provided on the day and throughout our stay. However the seating for the xmas lunch won't make us want to return, we were a table of 2, placed next to a table of 15/20 people, who in all fairness should have had their xmas lunch at home. They were extremely loud, kept walking quite close to our table to take photos and basically being a nuisance to another table of 2 that was also placed near them. It was very uncomfortable and not something we will want to do again.

    It was an excellent experience all round- especially in such calm surroundings with gracious service- compared to a place in a shopping mall. Thank you for the little extra touches

    Our Christmas lunch exceeded expectations. Such friendly and helpful staff, plenty of wonderful food for everyone - constantly topped up, festive atmosphere, and just a lovely way to spend Christmas. Would love to return next year. Thank you to all the hard working staff giving up their Christmas for us.
