    So it was very busy last night which was great. We had to wait quite a while for food - which was understandable as there were big tables - not an issue. However, the waiter service was very slow. Perhaps they were stretched too thin? Finished plates were not cleared off the table. We had to try to catch our waiter's attention for the bill, which we eventually did, however after quite a wait it still wasn't forthcoming, so we eventually went inside to pay. It was incredibly noisy, which when you are trying to have a dinner conversation it's not great - but again guess there is not much to be done about that. The music playing was awesome!! All in all still love the place!

    Everyone was friendly, from the security standing outside to the waiters/waitresses helping us. The food we got was way more than we expected (I think we over ordered because we took quite a bit home). We wanted to try at least 2 different meals, so opted for the prego rolls and the ribs - DELICIOUS!!! Everything was delicious!!! The atmosphere was so vibey and chilled.... The bonus was the price, definitely value for money!! We will be back (probably weekly lol). Thank you to the staff for an great evening, much appreciated!

    We always have an enjoyable time at Madeireas. Food is so good. Staff are always friendly & their service impeccable. They have the most amazing bands playing on Friday & Saturday nights, good times. Thank You Madeiras & team!

    The baby calamari was excellentt. The sirloin steak done as ordered and most enjoyable.

    Unfortunately the food did no justice. There are dishes on menu as Portuguese dishes but these were far from it. I think the names should be removed from the menu as Portuguese dishes. The chicken trinchado had a basic sauce that tasted like beef. Chicken and beef mixed was not a great. Definately not a restaurant we would visit again unfortunately.

    Hi Ann! Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are a fusion bar and bistro. We are not Portuguese and our dishes are not authentic Portuguese as you have pointed out. The only item listed as Portuguese on our menu is a Portuguese roll. Our dishes are Portuguese inspired and this has worked for us for the past 5 years that we have been owners. We are so sorry that the food did not live up to your expectations and we do understand that our fusion bistro is not suited to everyone. We are very proactive when in comes to resolving complaints in house. If we were made aware that you were not happy with your meal, we would've replaced it then and there for you. Once again, we apologise that we did not live up to your expectations.
