Loxtonia Farm is situated in the heart of the Western Cape farmlands, in the Ceres Valley. Owned by the Whitfield family since 1990. The art of making fine apple cider first took place at Loxtonia Farm in 2013, when the family run farmstead identified a gap in the South African market.

Loxtonia Farm exports apples, pears and plums world-wide while also supplying a small percentage of fruit to the local South African market. Founder & Head Cider Maker of Loxtonia Cider, Larry Whitfield realised that he could turn this into a two-fold passion project by using the juice from the apples to become the first Cidery in Ceres.

    I recently visited Loxtonia Cider for a wine tasting experience, and it exceeded all my expectations! The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our waitress was an absolute standout - her warm smile, knowledgeable guidance, and exceptional service made our experience truly unforgettable. The views of the surrounding landscape were breathtaking, providing a picturesque backdrop to our tasting. The wines themselves were impressive, but it was the overall atmosphere and hospitality that truly made our visit special. I would highly recommend Loxtonia Cider to anyone seeking a memorable wine tasting experience.

    Fantastic experience overall. Lovely setting, attentive staff, excellent tastings, our table did the cider, wine and bubbly tastings, we also had cheese platters and meat platters. Hosting was fantastic, the staff are all very pleasant and interact well with their guests. Can’t wait to visit again.
