A very interesting experience, a bit like having dinner at Fawlty Towers. First, they asked to move the booking later because there was some sort of error. Second, when we asked to sit inside, they said that was not possible because they were full inside (despite there being lots of empty tables). Then, they got the food order spectacularly wrong. That said the food is absolutely excellent, I like that you can have small portions of pasta, and the wine list is great. The ambience is also very cool, and the prices are really good value. Overall De Waterkant needs this sort of restaurant - it is a fun, great dinner venue if you want to go onto Manhattans or Pink.

The truffle pasta was bland. The combination of ingredients is not appealing such as the nectarine/ pear and walnut combo... Needs more variety. A lot of the dishes contain the same ingredients. The atmosphere is awesome though. The salads should not be that expensive. The staff was great. Wait time was nice.

Slightly disappointing, since it’s a promising, groovy little venue. Too many dishes which aren’t quite as the menu describes them. Char-grilled artichokes arrive at top of huge plan of rocket and some other tough salad greens, stale spring onions, and not crispy capers; saffron aioli tasteless. Truffle pizzeria missing black truffle shavings. Most disappointing of all, home-made pasta, slightly overcooked; pear, walnut and Gorgonzola ravioli, lacking any flavour whatsoever. You get the feeling that, if they got in a professional restauranteur, who focused on all the details, they could have something here… Staff friendly, decent value, lovely outside terrace. So, nearly….

Nice Pizza with mushrooms and truffle. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. Loved the leopard chairs and the beautiful wine glasses.

Cute spot, enjoyed the food, we had grilled nectarine, truffle fettuccine and pear and gorgonzola ravioli, it was delicious. They don't have a drinks menu which I didn't enjoy, I think they should offer some non alcoholic cocktails perhaps. The dessert menu I felt was lacking so we went elsewhere for dessert. The tables are too small and it makes it uncomfortable to dine, they also don't offer real napkins which I feel would elevate the experience. The service was friendly.
