Set in a converted house in central Franschhoek, the atmosphere at Le Bon Vivant is homely and relaxed, while reminiscent of contemporary French restaurants. The glass wall allows you to see Pierre Hendriks and his team at work. Tables are also available in the shaded garden next to the restaurant for lunch and dinner on warm summer evenings.

    Did not enjoy the food. An inedible muse boy he apple and cucumber sorbet with lumps through it. Strange taste. Scallop starter not cooked sent back and not nice at all in a non descript green sauce, quail likewise. Not a good experience. The whole experience seemed like a race.. Should and could be much better.

    Very inventive dishes make for an extremely enjoyable dinner. Good Wine list, well priced. Excellent friendly service.

    Since 2006 we eat at Bon Vivant and still the kitchen is amazing, high quality nice Service. D Creative dishes for vegetarians We love this restaurant
