Chef Lorianne Heyns takes an uncomplicated approach to food, delicately balancing flavours. Hers is the type of food you can eat every day of the week, but still feel as though you’re experiencing something truly wonderful. Lorianne’s food philosophy is to keep it simple, creative and seasonal and to only use the best quality ingredients available.

    The set up at Jean is definitely not great for a picnic on a windy day. The umbrellas in the top section do not clip in place and we almost had an accident when one of the umbrellas flew out of the base and was caught just before it hit a child. The umbrellas on the bottom section do not stay in place, they sway with the wind so if you want to stay in the shade you need to move with the umbrella!
