    I would definitely recommend, great venue, with lovely views. The food is simple but always great and good value. Unfortunately, the service could better. The staff are always lovely and friendly but often hard to find when you need them at the table. Not major but would definitely improve the overall experience. I will be back :)

    The service was attentive and fast on drinks and on both courses . Great local restaurant !

    Great food but unfortunately the staff lets the restaurant down. I received a call from a staff member who did not introduce themselves, all they said was “Where are you!?” ( I was 6 minutes late and standing at the lift to the restaurant. When I poi ted out that I was 6 minutes late they said “Oh, my bad”. The waitress had a very poor attitude, she was miserable and clearly did not want to be there. I had to ask where our food was twice. Sadly I will not be visiting on my next trip to Cape Town as there are many restaurants within a mile radius of Hugo Social Club that have an excellent overall experience.
