Homespun was thoughtfully designed to transport you away from the stress of the outside world. We offer a unique adaptation of European cooking methods, influenced by Asian, local and worldly flavours.

The Restaurant was built out of the creative mind of Matt Schreuder. After several years of experience in top Michelin star restaurants across the globe, Matt decided to open his dream restaurant in Cape Town: Homespun by Matt.

    Oh my gosh... The food was simply amazing. The flavours burst in your mouth with each dish carefully thought through. Incredible experience. I thought the portions wouldn't be fulling but we were very satisfied at the end of the evening.

    Our 4th visit to South Africa from the UK. We always visit Homespun at least twice whilst we are here. This my favourite restaurant, Matt is simply a creative genius, food is devine. We were served by Joshua on both occasions and service was impeccable, the team are so friendly and know the menu. The cocktails are on another level too. If you’ve never been, you are seriously missing out on an amazing food experience(make sure you book in advance). We will be back again next January, thank you again for an awesome dinning experience.

    Always a pleasure being at homespun! The food is top notch the service fabulous and the ambiance on point!!! Make sure you get a appointment when you’re in blouberg to get the chance having a first class food experience:)

    It's a celebration of flavour and craftmanship. The food is nothing short of extraordinary truly next level. While the pricing might initially seem on the higher side, the value for money is undeniable when you consider the sheer quality, skill and creativity behind every dish. It's not just a meal, it's a culinary experience that leaves a lasting impression. The service was impeccable - attentive and friendly. The waiter's knowledge on the various dishes and flavours were truly impressive. The ambiance was pleasant, though the rustic decor felt slightly understated compared to the incredible sophistication of the food. I highly recommend visiting Homespun, this is a place you need to experience for yourself.
