Homespun was thoughtfully designed to transport you away from the stress of the outside world. They offer a unique adaptation of European cooking methods, influenced by Asian, local and worldly flavours.

The Restaurant was built out of the creative mind of Matt Schreuder. After several years of experience in top Michelin star restaurants across the globe, Matt decided to open his dream restaurant in Cape Town: Homespun

    We visited Homespun two years ago and had a really wonderful experience. Unfortunately, we naturally compared our latest experience to that. The service is still very good, and the ambience has remained nice (although the choice of music sometimes seemed odd; I don't mind more funky music, but maybe not in this setting). However, the food was a little disappointing. It just had less flavour and the pairings of food didn't feel as complementary and interesting. We only really enjoyed one of the five courses. We will probably go elsewhere next time we are looking for a fine dining experience, but we will fondly remember our first visit to Homespun in 2022.
