Cheyne Morrisby & Danielle Oosthuizen open the doors of Hiro Izakaya. Hiro is a place of food, drink & connectivity situated on the beautiful Constantia Uitsig Farm.

Hiro showcases modern Japanese cuisine designed for tasting in a unique space that is synonymous to Cheyne & Danielle. Added to the Hiro experience Cheyne & Danielle have created a 6 seater experiential chefs table decorated with Danielle’s artwork.

    Food was good but some dishes were a bit average, service patchy (but it was very busy). Lovely setting, worth a try.

    Soft shell crab was delicious as was the tuna tacos. The aubergine dish was very disappointing - lacking in flavour. The smell of cooking oil emanating from the kitchen was unpleasant. Even though we were seated outside it was still prominent.

    Amazing experience, every single dish we had was absolutely delicious. Vegetarian friendly and a large variety of veggie dishes to choose from. Spent my mother in laws 82nd birthday there and would totally recommend

    Great food! The tapas style menu is varied and there's something for everyone. The presentation of the dishes is immaculate and the taste is refined. The choice of wines isn't vast but goes well with the food. We recommend Hiro Izakaya to our guests and friends! Thank you for the wonderful evening.
