Inspired by The Oyster Boxs original, architecture with four magnificent tole and ceramic chandeliers purchased from the Savoy Hotel in London, natural sunlight and towering Palms, The Palm Court is the venue for the legendary High Tea each afternoon. Its also a favourite meeting spot for casual dining.

High Tea is a lengthy, leisurely affair with live piano music providing a welcome addition to the occasion. All pastries and baked goods are prepared on the property by our wonderful pastry team. The high tea table is a visual and taste spectacle of sumptuous treats, with everything from freshly baked scones, pastries, quiches and cakes, to finger sandwiches and savouries.

The entire experience was absolutely exceptional - we were served by Rashid who was extremely accommodating and the atmosphere he helped create was incredible. Will definitely be coming back soon!

We had a glorious time at our High Tea gathering. My 92 year old dad and his 74 year old brother (visiting from Australia) had a lovey reunion and Sandile (who was taking care of us) was really super. Attentative, without hovering, so warm and welcoming and very patient :). I have been wanting to take my mum for years and finally got the opportunity to spoil her during this reunion too and she had a wonderful experience. Thank you for the special touch of the "Happy Reunion" platter.

Our waitress Nonto was amazing. It is a very expensive experience but its not something one would do every day and although we definitely did not eat or drink to the value we paid, the whole experience added up to the value.

Not enough waiters, waited very long for our drinks. The set up is also over crowded. Tables are too close, we were seated at the corner and it was a tight squeeze walking pass tables.

High Tea at The Palm Court - The Oyster Box Hotel responded on Mon 31 Mar 25:
Good Day Brenda, Thank you for your review. One of our Food and Beverage Managers will be in contact with you to discuss further. Kind Regards, The Oyster Box
