    We celebrated our 17-year wedding anniversary with you on Sunday, and from the moment we walked in, we were made to feel truly special. Everything was perfect—the reception, the service, and the food. Simply outstanding. I’ll definitely be back in July to celebrate my 50th birthday!

    Heirloom at the V&A offers a calm, elegant atmosphere with classical music, marina views, and incredible smells. The portions were generous. I had the kingklip and a prawn Caesar salad loaded with prawns. The caramel dessert was unforgettable, and they even surprised me with a birthday cupcake and candle. Service was a bit slow, but the staff was kind and attentive. Highly recommend the Groote Post Seasalter Sauvignon Blanc. A special and memorable evening overall.

    If I’d never eaten at the Cape Grace before, my review might be different. If you’re an old Capetonian, then this restaurant has lost all the charm and ambience of this beautiful old stalwart. It’s good, but it’s good in a ‘same as all the other chain hotels’ way. The cocktails were not up to Fairmont standard and there were no traditional South African style desserts which seems like a missed opportunity. The ‘cool’ crockery made eating some dishes really difficult. I’d eat here again, but I wouldn’t run back.
