Set in the farm’s original wine cellar, built circa-1870, the Hazendal Wine Lounge is a beautifully refurbished venue for visitors to discover the cellar’s terroir-driven range of wines. From deep-buttoned Harrington sofas at the eye-catching fireplace to the striking copper-clad bar, classic and contemporary touches combine in a single elegant space.

    Beautiful, relaxed, well airconditioned environment. The canapes, the snoek pate plaatkoekie , genius it was indeed the favourite amongst my friends although the Ostrich carpaccio and dukka spiced vetkoek was my personal favourite but the bobotie spiced boerewors was a huge let down, it was dry, lack seasoning and it didn't hold it shape, it crumbled and it just wasn't palatable hence the 4 stars. Our waitron, excelled she was well presented, knowledgeable and very passionate - 5 star worthy! Overall amazing experience and will definitely return!

    Had such a great time at the estate. The place is beautiful. The wine tasting was such a great experience Afikile was fantastic in explaining the different wines and answering our questions with patience and humour. We had a wonderful time at the bar, Charlie was outstanding. The experience was worth our time excellent

    I had a fantastic experience at Hazendal Wine Estate. The highlight was the vodka tasting, where we sampled their tropical, citrus, and coffee + charcoal vodkas. The citrus vodka was our absolute favorite—smooth, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. The setting was beautiful, and the service was warm and welcoming. One suggestion would be to include non-pork meats on the charcuterie & pickles platter to cater to a wider range of guests. Overall, a great visit, and I’d highly recommend it!
