With arguably the best view overlooking the Franschhoek Wine Valley, dining with us at Haute Cabrière is as beautiful as it is delicious.

As with our approach to wine, our food philosophy centres on moments to be enjoyed together.
We believe that coming together around the table, as family always has, is a celebration of life, stories, togetherness and of course, wonderful food and wine.

Join us as part of our family and eat, drink and chat on our sun-soaked restaurant terrace in Franschhoek. Our menus are inspired by classic French dishes with a twist – combining local ingredients and the von Arnim family’s love of innovation.

    We had the most wonderful time as a group of ladies, we were fortunate to meet the Cellar Master who went out of his way to give us a semi tour of the cellar which we had not booked for and then gave us a complimentary tasting of his loved wine which we thoroughly enjoyed. The setting is most spectacular I feel, However, the deck could be more inviting with outdoor shading to sit under and enjoy the panoramic view. As a group of ladies, we wanted a late light lunch of just a salad or something however there is no offering of this, it is either a 2 or 3 course lunch. We opted for 2 platters to share and these were not value at all, very small and limited. The bubbles tasting was extreme value for money. We went on to 4 other wine estates in the region the following days for tastings and boards so had quite a lot to compare to. Haute Cabriere still rates as my most favorite locations and tastings however more lighter meal offerings for the day visitors would be recommended. Highlight was definitely have some explanations from Takuan von Arnim.

    Amazing place extremely well done the food was 100% excellent. The chef even came out afterwards the staff were incredible the ambience the views everything was just perfect. We will definitely be back. Victoria Richards.

    Best meal we have had for a long time. Amazing food worthy of Masterchef . Wine pairing was superb and really wonderful wines . Excellent value dinner with great service ! A 5 star restaurant !
