    Fantastic meal, excellent service, amazing food. Visited on a Saturday evening. We’d booked a table in the Green Room as some reviews have commented on noise levels in the main dining room and I struggle with a lot of background. We realised halfway through the meal that we were in the main dining room (saw the Green room when going to the toilet), and although the noise level increased later in the evening it was fine and added to the ambience, we could still hear each other speak and hear the waiting on staff. A real enjoyable experience, excellent service. Really helpful staff on the door who helped us connect to Wi-Fi and order an Uber as it was our first time ever using the Uber app and we were struggling. We will definitely return to Grub and Vine next time we visit Cape Town.

    The crumpet on the first course was a little tough but flavours delicious. Service excellent, when my ordered wine was out of stock the waiter made some excellent, similarly priced, recommendations. Very thoughtful waitstaff, gave us time between courses.

    The Grub & Vine was fantastic. I held a dinner party for about 25 people and they all couldn't say enough about how much they enjoyed the whole experience. The food was spectacular, the service was superb and we felt very well taken care of. Thank you to Matt Manning and the whole team at Grub & Vine, we thoroughly enjoyed it and hope to see you again in the future!

    I love this restaurant but would not do the Valentine’s Day experience again. The place was overwhelmed, the obligatory tasting menu was fine but too much (would have much preferred a la carte but it wasn’t an option.) It felt like a great day to maximise income but put too much pressure on the staff. Will be back but only on an ordinary evening.

    While the venue and service were fantastic, unfortunately the food did not hit the standard of the price charged. At R 1,700 per head I was expecting a lot better - quality rather than quantity. Wine list also over the top, with the least expensive Chenin blanc at R 620 per bottle
