    While it wasn’t my first time at Groot, it was the first visit for some of my family members. The ambience was lovely and the atmosphere welcoming. However, the main issue was with the overall experience, it felt a bit lacking. We weren’t really guided or given much information, and were mostly left to figure things out ourselves. The branded wine glass takeaway is a nice touch, but giving it to us in the same glass we drank from (and not even cleaned) felt off. Honestly, it might as well have stayed at the estate. Still, overall it was a good visit and we did enjoy ourselves.

    Lovely farm, but I find that every time I visit, I’m disappointed with the service. It’s the only thing that lacks at this beautiful wine estate. I work in customer service and to see how poor the service is, just puts a sour taste in my mouth.

    This was my first experience, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. The prices were also quite reasonable. However, I was a bit disappointed with the service. We had to keep calling the waitstaff to our table, which was a bit inconvenient. Additionally, we weren't offered a palate cleanser—honestly, water would have sufficed.
