Located on the biodynamic Rozendal Farm and Vinagrier in Stellenbosch, Good to Gather is a convivial, intimate restaurant owned by husband-and-wife duo Luke Grant and Jess Shepherd. In summer, sit outside in the gorgeous courtyard under the oak trees, in colder months the dining takes place in the Vinegar Tasting Room warmed by a wood burning stove, with views of the cellar filled with the farms botanical infused red wine vinegars. The three course farm to table menu changes weekly, and incorporates seasonal ingredients locally sourced from small-scale farmers.

    Going to Good to Gather feels like coming home. The ambience, the warm and friendly service and the crazy delicious food are all reaons on their own to go here. We will definitely be back again and again.

    I wondered to myself when I made the booking if I was going to be the first person to give less than a five-star rating. Would I be disappointed because my expectations were pretty high? I can honestly say that my expectations were exceeded. I loved absolutely everything about the experience, from the service to the ambience and the food spoke for itself. I look forward to visiting again when next I can find a reservation.
