Gigi Rooftop is a buzzing restaurant and bar located on the 6th floor of the Gorgeous George Hotel. The bar has everything from signature cocktails, to age-old classics, both being meticulously crafted by their in-house mixologists. The restaurant serves a take on modern classics, but with a focus on seasonality and sustainability, think casual cuisine but with a twist! They believe knowing where our food comes from is as important as the food itself, with attention being placed on local, ethically-sourced produce from artisanal cheese, pasture-reared beef to fully-traceable and line-caught fish. The vibe is infectious, join for lunch, stay for dinner, with live music and DJ’s almost every day of the week. GiGi Rooftop is a living room for the neighbourhood and you’re invited.

    Our waiter Stan was amazing. The drinks are ridiculously expensive ... R106.00 for 1/3 of a glass of wine. You are probably making R1500.00 for a bottle of wine and THAT is not cool. The ambiance, food and service was faultless BUT I truly will have tobthink twice about returning because of the drinks expense.

    We recently visited the Gigi Rooftop Bar & Restaurant and had a mixed experience. The ambiance is absolutely stunning — the view and atmosphere are truly fantastic! The cocktails are also top-notch, always a perfect choice for a night out. However, we were disappointed with the food. Unfortunately, the dishes had an overwhelming amount of onions, and the overall taste just didn't meet our expectations. While we'll be avoiding the food in the future, we’ll definitely continue coming for the amazing cocktails and great vibes. Thanks for the memorable experience, and we look forward to enjoying the drinks again soon!

    We both had a fantastic evening at Gigi’s! The cocktails and starters were both fantastic. Mains were also great. The highlight of our evening was our waiter, Sizwe. He is a young man with a whole heap of potential. Honest, hardworking and friendly, but most importantly, he knew when to check on us and to not be ‘too present’, which made the experience fantastic. With his attitude and work ethic, he’s going to do great things! We’ll be back!
