Nestled at the foot of our majestic mountains, in the leafy suburb of Newlands, Cape Town, Foresters Arms Restaurant and Pub (fondly referred to by the locals as Forries), is one of the oldest pubs in South Africa and provides the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life.

    Absolutely lovely. Our Waiter, Benson I think his name was, was great and the food was delicious ! Lovely venue, will definitely be back .

    The food was great, the restaurant is gorgeous, but the service was even worse than usual (which is always pretty bad), we waited over an hour after we sat down to even get a drink. The food took much longer. It was a special family meal ruined by the snail-paced service. I would hesitate to ever return.

    Amazing place to eat, especially outside in the upper or lower gardens. Food is amazing amd the views are breathtaking. Thank you for the hospitality.

    The Sunday Carvery was really good as usual, super tasty and the roast potatoes perfectly crunchy. The service is always good, friendly and efficient. The only thing was we got a table in the "kiddies" area which was super loud and busy - my fault I should have asked for a quiet table . Other than that definitely my go to place for reaonably priced , delicious Sunday carvery.
