Why is Mr Chau called Chunky Chau? Because Mr Chau is not 'fat'.

‘Chunky’, on the other hand, can be used to refer to someone who is short and muscular. Being short and broad shouldered, he looks heavy. Unlike ‘fat’, ‘chunky’ does not have a negative connotation. In fact, according to some books on usage, native speakers sometimes use the word to indicate affection.

    It’s a lovely restaurant, however the food was mixed in terms of flavour and quality. But I would be happy to return and try again.

    Fantastic experience at Chunky Chau Sandton. We hosted our daughter's party at the Sandton branch and everyone loved it. Great setting and great experience. Adele and Renee were excellent in helping us sort out the menu and all the finer details. Thank you for a great experience.

    The garlic chau mein was absolutely sublime. We also had Chaus fried rice, the best! So so tasty. Love this restaurant
