Cafe Extrablatt is an all-day restaurant in Greenpoint, Cape Town. Originating from the highly successful Cafe Extrablatt franchise in Germany and recently Morocco, we aim to combine our love for food and our passion for people with South African flair.

Cape Town has cosmopolitan taste and an insatiable love for all things new and tasty. It is our mission to offer a large scrumptious menu, finely chosen local wines and an atmosphere to remember. Our South African journey has taught us about loyalty with regular customers becoming friends and new customers inspiring us with their character, love and spirit.

We are open all day, seven days of the week with free Wi-Fi- all year. Join us for breakfast, lunch, dinner and anything in between - it will be our pleasure. Call us to make a reservation. We have a DJ that entertains on specified weekend nights.

    Enjoyed our breakfast, it was our first time back in years. Lots of Cheeses, maybe should consider changing it out with something else. Other than that, my family loved the breakfast.

    Guido is a perfect host and make sure that you don't miss anything on the breakfast buffet.

    Not really impressed with the food. The ribs and Buffalo wings were dry and overcooked. The calamari and Chilli poppers was nice. The vibe was good and their drinks too.

    I booked online and we arrived 5 minutes ahead of time. I have brought visitors to Café Extrablatt on several previous occasions. To get seated was rocky, to say the least!!! The lady at reception tried to put a 4-person booking at a small 2-person round table. My visitors got so upset that they wanted to go somewhere else for brunch. I stayed behind to try to speak to a manager to at least be courteous and cancel my booking and not just disappear. I did not get to speak to the manager on duty but, Calvin, saved the day and indicated he had a table that was ready to pay. I could convince two of my three visitors to come back inside and give Café Extrablatt another chance. This was their first visit to Café Extrablatt. Calvin did an exceptional job!! The two-star rating for service is because of the terrible start for our booked brunch. Calvin’s service is worthy of 5 stars. Kind regards
