    Service was shocking slow and not like they were busy. The prawns were touch to peel the meat off the shell and not sure if it was overcooked or stale. I had one or two which were a bit powdery. I did complain to the manager who said he would check with the kitchen but never bothered to come back to me which to me is very unprofessional and shows a “don’t care attitude “. Then i had to go and hunt for my waitress to ask for my bill. First my son went, couldn’t find her and spoke to a gentleman for him to tell our waitress to please bring the bill, nothing happened. I then had to go hunt for her (and again not like the restaurant was busy ) but couldn’t find her and saw the manager at the front entrance and asked him to please find my waitress and to arrange my bill. Even then he didn’t bother or totally ignored giving me feedback about the prawns (shocking). What actually surprised me also was when i made the reservation there was a block whereby you can put in additional noted which included special events and i made a note i was celebrating my 20 year’s wedding anniversary but not sure why this is there as it made no difference to the service and neither was anything extra offered for the special event. I had guests from Johannesburg and this really was a disappointment and disaster. Makes me wonder this could be the reason the restaurant was quite as the level of service and food quality is not worth the price. I will most definitely not recommend Beira Alta nor will i be back.
